Cash on delivery describes when you pay. It does not automatically mean that delivery is free or that every order request is ready to dispatch. When a store needs to confirm a delivery charge, it is useful to understand the difference between an order request, an approved total and a shipped parcel. Here is how that process works at BeachMarket.
An order request comes before fulfillment
After checkout, you receive an order number. Where delivery charges need manual confirmation, the request remains Pending while the team prepares a delivery quote. The initial receipt acknowledges the request; it does not mean that a parcel has already been booked with a courier.
Keep the order number and use an email address you can access. New checkout emails are used for transactional messages and secure access. Entering an address for an order does not subscribe it to the newsletter.
Review the full COD total before approving
The team adds a proposed delivery charge. You can then open the private order page and review the full total before agreeing. Where applicable, the calculation is the item subtotal minus the order discount plus the quoted delivery charge.
For an illustrative calculation only, items worth Rs. 2,000 with no discount and a proposed Rs. 250 delivery charge would produce a Rs. 2,250 total. This example is not BeachMarket's standard delivery fee. The charge for your own order is the one shown in your quote.
- Check the selected products, quantities and any discount.
- Read the delivery charge and the full total together.
- If something looks wrong, contact support before approving.
Use email verification on another device
Open Track your order and enter your order number with the email saved at checkout. If the details match, a one-time code is sent from support@beachmarket.shop to that checkout email. Enter the code in the browser where you requested it to view that specific order.
The code expires after 10 minutes and can be used once. Never share it in a public comment or send it to someone offering to ‘fix’ your order. An order created before email collection was introduced may require the original checkout browser or help from support.
Approval, confirmation and dispatch are different stages
Approving the quoted total lets the team continue reviewing fulfillment. Staff confirmation is a separate step. Once the parcel is dispatched and the team adds its details, the courier and tracking number appear on the protected order page.
A store order number and a courier tracking number serve different purposes. Use the store number when contacting BeachMarket. The tracking page shows staff-updated order information; it does not provide a live map of a courier's location. Delivery timing should be checked for your own order rather than assumed from another customer's experience.
